Peterson Golden Oar Society (surprsing Smedly, who had no idea it was going to be named for him) “to recognize and celebrate those who have made significant contributions to the legacy and the lifeblood of Pacific Lutheran University Rowing.” The first inductees were the 1967 “Rowdown Crew” for their extraordinary efforts to deliver the “Loyal Shoudy” and firmly place PLU rowing in the hearts, minds and souls of the PLU administration and the rowing community nationwide.
